Features
Multi-layer soil sensor is a device developed by our company that can measure soil parameters in different depths. It can dynamically observe the soil electrical conductivity, moisture and temperature status at different levels. This soil sensor can detect the minimum 3 layers, and the highest 5 layers soil EC, temperature and humidity status. The soil sensor adopts standard Modbus-RTU485 communication and supports secondary development.
- The shell is made of stainless steel, black flame-retardant epoxy resin is completely sealed, acid and alkali resistant, and can be buried in the soil for long-term dynamic testing.
- It is suitable for soil moisture monitoring, scientific experiments, water-saving irrigation, greenhouses, gardens, grassland pastures, plant cultivation, sewage treatment, precision agriculture and other occasions.

Installation
The multi-layer soil sensor uses a stratified measurement approach, with a soil parameter measurement point installed every 10 cm in the subsurface soil to monitor the soil parameters within the corresponding range.
Vertically dig a pit with a diameter greater than 20 cm, insert the sensor steel probes horizontally into the pit wall at the designated depth, refill and compact the pit, and after stabilizing for a period of time, continuous measurement and recording can be carried out for several days, months, or even longer.
Wide voltage power supply input: 5–30V. When wiring the 485 signal line, make sure that the A/B lines are not reversed, and that device addresses on the same bus do not conflict.
