This wall-mounted temperature and humidity sensor offers two output modes: Modbus temperature and humidity sensor (Modbus protocol) and analog temperature and humidity sensor (0–5V / 0–10V / 4–20mA). The analog version supports both three-wire and four-wire wiring methods, and for the 4–20mA output specifically, a two-wire wiring option is also available. The sensor features a dustproof and waterproof enclosure, making it widely applicable in greenhouses, factories, production workshops, apartments, schools, and warehouses.

What is the working principle of a temperature and humidity sensor?

The sensor utilizes a digital temperature and humidity sensing element, which integrates a thermistor and a humidity-sensitive capacitor into a compact chip. It undergoes full-range multi-point calibration, and the calibration data is stored directly within the chip. This ensures high accuracy, stability, and consistency across the entire measurement range.

Digital sensors provide a direct digital output, are easier to interface with microcontrollers, and often include built-in calibration. Analog sensors output a voltage or current that must be interpreted by additional circuitry.

Install it in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight, heat sources, or moisture ingress. For indoor use, avoid placement near HVAC vents or windows.
